Ministries at Longview Baptist Church

At Longview Baptist Church, we offer ministries and activities to engage and support people of all ages. Our Children’s Ministry provides fun and meaningful opportunities for kids to grow in faith and build community. The Youth Ministry creates a welcoming space for students to connect through weekly gatherings, special events, and trips throughout the year. Our senior adults enjoy fellowship and fun through the Young at Heart Ministry, which hosts regular activities and special events. We also provide opportunities for discipleship and spiritual growth through Sunday School classes and seasonal Bible studies.

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is a vibrant and welcoming space for kids to grow in faith and community. With three active Sunday classes, a dedicated children’s director, and passionate ministry leaders, we provide meaningful opportunities for children year-round. From Vacation Bible School and fall festivals to Christmas parties and Easter egg hunts, there’s always something special for kids to enjoy.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at Longview Baptist Church offers a fun and welcoming environment for 6th–12th graders to grow in faith and build connections. Youth meet on Sunday mornings for Sunday School at 9:45 and Monday nights at 7:00 for engaging lessons tailored to their age group. With monthly fellowship activities, opportunities to serve, and exciting trips in the summer and fall, there’s always something meaningful and enjoyable for students to be part of.

Young at Heart Ministry

Our senior adult ministry is named Young at Heart because no matter the age we can all be Young at Heart. We gather for a monthly game of Bingo and lunch the second Tuesday of the month. We also attend the Senior Adult Rally that is put on twice a year by the Raleigh Baptist Association.

Missions

We believe that God has blessed every believer with unique gifts to be used in missions and ministry. We encourage everyone to discover and use these gifts through various opportunities to serve. Our mission ministries are organized into two groups: Baptist Men, who meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM, and Baptist Women, who meet on the second Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM. Both groups are actively involved in ongoing missions, including collecting supplies for organizations in the Raleigh area. Together, we strive to make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond.

Discipleship

At Longview Baptist Church, we take discipleship very seriously. We are a welcoming church that enjoys walking alongside each other as we grow in follow Christ. Getting connected is easy—just show up, and our deacons will help you find the right Sunday School class. For deeper spiritual growth, we offer a seasonal Winter Bible Study on Mondays at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. There are plenty of opportunities to grow in faith and community.
