Rev. Dr. Randy McKinney – Senior Pastor
Since the summer of 2010, Randy has served as Pastor of Longview Baptist Church. He has been married for over 20 years to Karen who teaches third grade at Lockhart Elementary in Knightdale. Randy and Karen have two college age daughters, Addison and Peyton. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1991 with a B.S. in Textiles; from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993 with a M.Div. and from M. Christopher White School of Divinity, Gardner-Webb University in 2006 with a D.Min. He has served various churches in North Carolina as a minister of youth, associate pastor, and pastor.
Rev. Abram Buckner – Associate Minister of Youth and Virtual Ministry
Abram Buckner serves as the Associate Minister of Youth and Virtual Ministry. He is married to Mable who is working to earn her BS in Nursing at Duke University. Abram earned his BA in Christian Studies in 2018 from Campbell University and then graduated in 2021 from Campbell University Divinity School with his M.Div. He has a love of working with youth and enjoys guiding/encouraging students along their faith journeys. Mable and Abram enjoy spending time with friends playing board games as well as cooking dinner together.
Rev. Garner Keel – Music Minister
Garner Keel has served as Longview’s Minister of Music for the past 29 years. He graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree, and also received a Master of Church Music Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Ky. Garner’s Music Ministry includes directing the Adult Choir, Adult Handbell Choir, Congregational Singing, and various small performance ensembles. Garner is now enjoying his retirement from North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company where he worked as an Agent for 25 years. Garner has been married to Carrie for 48 years and they have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Garner treasures his time with his family, loves trips to the beach and the mountains, and in his spare time enjoys working in his Koi Pond and working on small stained glass projects.
Allison Given – Children’s Director
Allison Given has served as the Preschool and Children’s Ministry Coordinator since September of 2014. She grew up in Raleigh and graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in English Literature. She has been married to Jack for 19 years, and is mom to three girls, Rhyan, Reaghan, and Reese. Allison loves working with the children of Longview, and hopes that she is helping to plant seeds that will grow into long and loving relationships with Christ. In her spare time, Allison loves to play tennis and travel to the beach with her family.
Kim Hill – Secretary
Kim has been the Administrative Assistant at Longview since October of 1989. Kim is a Raleigh native and also a lifelong member of Longview. Over the years she has been involved in many activities throughout the church. She currently teaches 7th & 8th Grade and has been actively involved with the youth since 2009. Kim has been married to Joe Hill for 30 years and they have one daughter, Ashton.
Judy Parrott – Organist
Judy Parrott has served as Longview’s Church Organist since 2005. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA where she had the opportunity to study under concert organist Stephen Hamilton who has long been prominent on the American organ scene. Judy is the owner of Silver Expressions in Raleigh. She is married to Steve Parrott and they have two married children and three grandchildren.
Pam Carroll – Pianist
Pam Carroll is the pianist at Longview. She moved from Fayetteville, NC to Raleigh in 2000. Pam received her BS degree in Music Education with a concentration in keyboard from UNC – Pembroke. She is married to Curtis Carroll and the mother to four children, and grandmother to five.
